French Navy- Camera Obscura
Soul Meets Body- Death Cab for Cutie

Normally, I let the images tell the story, but I have to give recognition to the fact that we were able to meet Nellie Bailey and Sonia Sanchez. I only wish the shot I got of Sonia Sanchez wasn't so blurry, but I was extremely nervous. She is a famous poet and activist, who was a longtime friend of Max Roach, Count Basie, and Miles Davis to name a few. They both had an amazing presence and were so humble and open to sharing stories of the old jazz greats, Malcolm X, and the Harlem Renaissance. It was a great honor to be among such affluent women, who are still working for their causes today.

*sidenote: Can I say how excited I get when I see you (my friends) using these pictures. It makes me feel really special! The camera just captures the beauty that you all already exude. I love you guys very much!
